Hi, I'm Keith and I'm running for Uintah County Commissioner seat A

What is a County Commissioner?

A county commissioner's role is to act as a policymaker and administrator for county government, overseeing budgets, ordinances (laws), public works (roads, facilities, parks), health services, zoning, and emergency services, while also representing county interests at other government levels. They function as a legislative body, making decisions by board vote, managing county finances, and appointing department heads, ensuring efficient delivery of services like roads, jails, welfare, and elections.

Here's why I think I would be great at this job...

I am a dedicated, hard-working individual. I believe that with hard work, honesty and knowledge, anything can be accomplished. I feel that I am highly qualified for this position with 25 years supervisory experience and 20 years as a County employee. I may not be a politician, but I will fight for this community and work with it's constituents to help improve this county while assuring that it remains one of the greatest areas of our country to live.

A bit about the voting process

If you are unfamiliar with the legislative process, you are not alone! Here is a little bit about this local election.

Commissioners hold a seat for 4 years. In 2027, two seats will be ending their term and Keith is running for seat A. In March of 2026, a convention will be held to choose delegates for each precinct (area) in the Basin. Those delegates will vote to decide which of the people running for Commissioner will make it through the primaries. After those people are chosen, they will go up for public election in the fall of 2026. Elections will happen in November and the two new Commissioners will start their job in January of 2027!  See the events below for important dates to mark in your calendar!
